A Walk to Remember

Hello! I just wanna tell you that I just finished reading the book, "A Walk to Remember" yesterday. I know. I know it's kind of late-- as in very late-- but I just read it because I had no other better thing to do. And since it's a Nicholas Sparks I thought I might give it a try.

I thought it was like the movie and since I've seen the movie when I was in high school I might just forget about the thought of reading it. But I was wrong! Very wrong.

I must admit. The movie by Mandy Moore made me cry but the book?! Unstoppable! Like just imagine me trying to hold back tears while talking to my mom facing the window so she couldn't see me crying. So you might tell me, "Heck! Why didn't you just put the book down?"

Well, I couldn't. I tried to put it down to stop my tears from falling but I ended up wanting to finish the book up to the end. It was a surge of emotions and even if I had placed it down, I would surely cry thereafter.

I like this passage in the Bible so much. I hope my husband would read me this.

This was one of my favorite lines. Thus, the photograph.

Latest Finds

Hello! Well this post’s kinda mixed up but I will try my best to make you understand all the pictures, make them coordinate and feel like there’s one theme. Haha. The theme’s actually about the stuff I’ve acquired lately. I don’t have a “theme title” so to speak but I’ll try to make it as fun as possible.

First on my list is this really nice Forever 21 Zebra-striped dress. Ooh! I just love this dress. I like how it actually makes you look like you’re wearing Zebra skin when it’s just some piece of deceiving cloth. Anyway, it’s really nice, so weee!

Merry Christmas!

Hello, everyone! Wishing you the best Christmas ever! Well, this photo was taken at SM City here in Iloilo. I had a busy day that day considering that I had been walking and strolling the entire day from like 9AM to 6PM. Whew!

That's my adopted [though not legally] brother, Rafhael,
my father and my mom. So you know where I got my looks, huh?

Hmm... I must tell you that I was born to a Catholic mother and a father who has this religion of [I don't know the denomination!]. Simply put, he's a Christian. I know we all are, but it's non-Catholic so some people have this notion of referring to them as Christians, if you know what I mean.

This one's kinda dark. 'Twas too late when I figured out my father used the flash.

Strolling, Nail Art and Food Tripping

Hmm… Have you ever experienced feeling like the ‘day’ was so looong? I mean, the one you feel when you’ve done a lot of things in a short period of time.

Wearing Allen's hat... Haha.
Well, this was one of those days and I ended up sitting on the benches of every shoe store while my father and mother had to look for the right kind of shoes they wanted to buy and it was only 6:00 PM. I didn’t want to buy shoes. As for me, I had just bought shoes the other month and I’ve been trying to be my best spendthrift possible! Haha.

This is Grace, my Taiwanese student.
Well, let me begin by telling you that what was just supposed to be a day to a salon turned out to be one day of a heck! My Taiwanese student, Grace, asked me to accompany her and a friend to the salon, so they can had both their nails and toenails cleaned and ‘nail-art-ed’ for that matter.

Black base
I really liked this one!

Beige Bag with Gold and Silver Chain Straps

My addiction for unique bags started just a few years ago. I always admired my mom for her good taste on bags. However, it was only a few years ago that I began using them myself.

I just like the interlocking gold and silver chain straps!

The mesh on the bottom part is also good. It's just soo unique.

Live and Let Live: My Stand on Self- Righteousness

I'm pretty sure you know what this is. So, here's my next contribution.

I now have a column name: From My Beautiful Mind

This article talks about religion, and how I think some people can just be too judgmental because they follow their religion's standards and practices.

I've met people who are atheists [especially now that I'm working at a language center, where I meet Koreans, Taiwanese and Japanese], but they just live life fearing authorities and have lived half of their lives following the rules. It's just amazing how they do that when they don't believe in an omnipotent One.

These people do not have a God, but I think I respect them more than self-righteous individuals. I just think that it's better to be silent than to keep on protesting and telling others how good your religion and practices are compared to the rest because at the end of the day, no one wins over a debate on religion. We just need to have a little respect for each other.

All About Shoes

I really like shoes! Here are just a few pictures of my favorite wedge and a few pics of my dream shoes. I don't even know if it will look good on me but I just like looking at them.
