Oyster House Seafood Restaurant

I have always loved eating sea foods! I love eating fresh and grilled fish and tuna. I like seafood mixes cooked with worcestershire sauce and vegetables and so much more. This love for these kinds of foods may be brought about by the fact that lloilo has got great fishing grounds and is a home to various seafood products.

These shells are called Diwal because they look like tongues stuck out.
In Ilonggo, diwal means to stick one's tongue out.
This aquarium contains sea water so the shells won't die.
Other places which are very rich in sea foods include RoxasEstanciaAntique and San Joaquin. [If I forgot a few places, just remind me, and I’ll delightfully make an additional entry here.] I’ve been to these places and I was always served with delectable seafood dishes. These foods are just mouthwatering!

Anyway, we went to Oyster House today. This cute yet homey restaurant is located along Brgy. Sta. Filomena in Villa, Iloilo City. They have an impressive menu with a few food titles I never heard before.

So, here it is. I present to you: Oyster House Seafood Restaurant
Artistic plating and garnishing, huh?

Spicy Oyster
Their waiters and staff are very accommodating and resourceful. They make it a point to let you understand every dish you might just be interested on or a similar dish you’re looking for.

Just to Change Things a Bit

Well today [just for a change], I'm gonna show you what happens in my usual 'busy day' when I have errands to do.

Ice Scramble is a kind of cold beverage where ice is crushed and flavored. It usually comes in a pink color [strawberry flavored, that is] and is topped with toppings of your choice. Toppings may include candy sprinkles, Nips [our own version of M and M's chocolate], pinipig [puff rice], and many more.
This kind of beverage was considered a street food before and still is now [haha]. The only difference is that this one's clean since they're available for franchise and you know what that means. The quality and cleanliness of food should be maintained in all its branches.
Woke up at about 8:00 AM and checked on my e-mails. Headed for the shower and dressed up in my most comfortable clothes, which always include jeans and whatever top I can fish from my closet. I wrapped a pair of flip flops because my mom said we were going to have our feet pedicured and I had decided wearing my black flats for today's errands.

First stop: the bank. We had to deposit money for our suppliers and that meant waiting in line. And not just an ordinary line [mind you] but a very very long line. Got our number and it read 24. They were serving number 64 which meant that we had to wait until it all goes back to number one after the hundredth customer.

So I will tell you briefly that it took us nearly 4 hours to wait inside the bank before we could finally have lunch at around 1:45 PM. I was so hungry I felt I needed to eat at a place where I can eat plenty of carbs.

Plaza Libertad

We had to deliver something to Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, and so we went to the pier for Bacolod. After sealing the documents and finally going out of the ferry's office, my mom had to call the secretary to inform the package's time of arrival.

I asked her if we could stay at the plaza for a while while she spoke with the secretary and some other individuals. The calls took some time and so I had ample time to take all these shots.

The colors [to me] are just so vibrant and attractive. Who would have thought these photos were taken from a plaza, which most people just pass by daily, taken for granted.

Sorry about the redundancy!

I forgot to capture a closer picture of what was written on the plaque below Dr. Jose Rizal's statue but I think it's a replica of his original statue at the famous Luneta Park, which is guarded by real soldiers day and night. These soldiers rarely move, just during a synchronized time of the day. No matter what you do, they will not move unless it's time to do so.
